Last year I decided that the best time to put new wipers on was just before winter. My wife reminded me her car needed them and I got some for my Subaru Forester from 3 different places- so I can report performance of 3 different brands.
Note: I use the Rain-X type windshield washer fluid (puts on rain-X like stuff automatically).
Wiper #1; Rain X Arch- worked perfectly right from the start- no streaks
Wiper #2- Michelin High Performance- had rather bad streaks until used for several hours, then slightly noticeable streaks
Wiper #3; (rear wiper- Trico Exact fit)- I think it has no streaks- but it is a lot farther away to check!
