Biking Mt Creek, NJ

This post was updated on .
you all know I have no love for skiing at Mt Creek..I hate it...But the biking is fantastic..I've heard it's in one of the top in the northeast...
I have been bitten by the downhill bug and can't shake it..here are some pics from Saturday...

Looks roller coaster-y.

Does it attract a lot of riders? How much do they charge? Based on your positive review, I'm guessing that it doesn't have the same atmosphere as during ski season?

It does attract a lot of riders , but there in never a lift line. Totally different vibe , and you get a nice show because the Water Park is next to the lift. Lots Latinas wearing thong bikinis riding the lift to check out the view from the summit.

I bought a 3 day card for 90$..They have never scanned my card.

Lift severed downhill riding is the the fastest way to improve your skills..

Will you still ride XC? I rode some of those Blauvelt trails over the summer but I think the Sterling Forest trails you brought me to are better.

Did you get or are you getting a DH rig?

Marc, text when you want to ride..

I still ride XC ,  the Sterling ride is now complete..7.5 mile loop..

When it's too hot to ride XC , lift severed riding in great..no up hills!!

That sounds pretty cool.  I've never done downhill.  Could I just show up with my hardtail and ride?  How much does full suspench matter? Could I rent?

You can ride with a hardtail..Just like you can ski a icy trail with soft twin tips..you just won't have a great experience..

you can rent DH bikes.. But I ride there with my short travel 27.5 + bike with no issue..

I rode there for a day back in 2005 I think? It was good then, I bet it's really awesome now. It's a much better venue for mountain biking than skiing.

I rented a bike from them and it kind of sucked but it was good enough to get a feel for the place. I remember I was recovering from a broken wrist and their rental bike had a clapped out front fork so I got really sore pretty quickly.

Skiing is not a sport, it is a way of life.
