I just spent this past week in Caliente doing a hand build hitch and camping in the back country. We punched trail through an extremely steep and rocky area. I think it came out pretty good.
I’m hoping to get back to Nevada this next week to go ski the TC up by Elko. We will see. Nevada is surprisingly awesome btw. There’s so much empty back country for exploration. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

NEVADA !!
Hey I’m a new member . Just wanted to say Nevada is one of the best kept ski secrets in the US ! I’ve spent a number of years of my life skiing in the Toiyabe range and also a little in the rubies . Nevada is the most mountainous state in the country with over 300 ranges . There is nothing like skiing dry Nevada powder during the day and camping at hot springs at night . So great to see others are getting out there in the BC of Nevada ! Maybe some day we can shred in the Silver State together. Thanks for posting about Nevada . |
I knew about the Ruby Mtns and the heli-ski ops there but could not imagine winter sports anywhere else in that state. Huh.

Maybe it's from watching Casino or Breaking Bad too many times, but I see this and think of how many bodies are buried there. Beautiful picture.
Sent from the driver's seat of my car while in motion.

Or if any successful disco era highjackers might have buried their loot out there
