Well, this Unofficial Networks post is saying that storms are reaching the West coast by Weds, moving into Utah for Thursday, So I would guess things start to shape up for the season by Friday in Colorado.

Danzilla, there is still fun to be had in Utah. From Snowbird today.
(not to say we didn't get a few coreshots throughout the day, too.)

Sweet - thanks fuge. Just boarded my flight and those pics just put a smile on my face. I think I know exactly where that chute is. What's your pick of the week? Is Brighton pretty baked out? Did you make it to Alta? I squeezed my board and my skis in the bag so planning at least one day at Alta. hope u enjoy the rest of ur trip. Raining like hell in Jerz this AM. Hopefully that means good things up north.

So far, Snowbird was best. Thinking Brighton today, but it's gonna be totally baked out. Things are still really Bony. I heard Jackson got another 6" today.. so it may be a good idea to put it on the map again.

Groomers out here are super firm.

My family and I are heading out to SLC mid Feb for the President's week break.  We were going to go to Snowbasin but have now moved our condo to Snowbird.  Was considering a change to Whistler but just figured it would be too much work.  Have decided to stick with SLC and jsut pray for snow.  The long range forcast is looking much better for the end of Jan with multiple days of snow.  Fingured crossed.  Eric

@ fuge - Great pix bro!

@ Ausable Skier - I skied Grand Targhee in 2001 and loved it!!  Great terrian and a mellow laid back vibe...  Big Sky is close to Targhee/JH and if the storm track includes Big Sky you should check Lone Peak out!

I think you did the right thing by changing destinations. Wyoming is all but certain to have sufficient base depths by the time you arrive, especially considering the forecast for this week. Colorado is a gamble even for mid-February.

One guy from our trip is from Seattle and another is from Portland.  Lots of discussion about them leaving home to come to SLC.  Oh well.  They are back home and will get the goods this weekend.
