Was just talking to my boss about hiking, camping, and wildlife and stumbled on this thread. Curious how many hikers have been confronted by threatening wildlife and have considered buying this:
https://www.sabrered.com/pepper-spray/frontiersman-bear-spray-combo-packI believe it only ships to select states, due to regulatory reasons. Looks like some serious shit. Tested in Montana and Alaska. Effectively repels the most ferocious bears.
From their site:
Bears are top of the food chain in North America and can decapitate a human with one swipe of their paw. So, when confronted by an aggressive bear, you don't want your bear spray in the can—you want it in between you and the animal.
Also curious of the species of wildlife spotted in the 46'er areas. I would imagine Black Bear, Bobcats, and others.
