Cool Ass Nature Stuff

Maybe there’s a thread where this would fit, but it’s buried, maybe.  I’m starting a new one.

I know to Camp this little one is just a future tenderloin.....but damn she’s cute.

Cute lil booger ---- my lady and I saw a newborn 2 weeks ago crossing the road. The things legs were so wobbly it could hardly stand up. Hopefully the coyotes don't get it.

Camp: neighbor saw this, asked me what it was. I told her hang on I know an expert:

Relative size is difficult to determine if you don’t know the lay of the land (how far it is from the grill to the tree line in this this case) but I’m gonna say it’s a mangy Fox.

Was just talking to my boss about hiking, camping, and wildlife and stumbled on this thread. Curious how many hikers have been confronted by threatening wildlife and have considered buying this:
https://www.sabrered.com/pepper-spray/frontiersman-bear-spray-combo-pack

I believe it only ships to select states, due to regulatory reasons. Looks like some serious shit. Tested in Montana and Alaska. Effectively repels the most ferocious bears.

From their site:
Bears are top of the food chain in North America and can decapitate a human with one swipe of their paw. So, when confronted by an aggressive bear, you don't want your bear spray in the can—you want it in between you and the animal.

Also curious of the species of wildlife spotted in the 46'er areas. I would imagine Black Bear, Bobcats, and others.
