Crossing paths with NYSBers

JTG4eva....Hey man - were you the one who said hello to me at the top of the Lookout chair back in the beginning of March?  I had the yellow jacket...I can't remember now what you said your username was - but I've been meaning to see if this was you...

Just curious - I see you post on here alot - I've been trying to put face to name kinda thing on ppl I notice from the forums when I see them out skiing.

People must think I'm a loon.  Sat while lapping the Slides a guy named Jeff joined us.  I asked him if he was ADK Jeff.  He had no clue what I was talking about but said yes nonetheless because he's from the Adirondacks.

Also struck out on Glade Runner when I approached to only skier I saw without poles on Saturday.

Sorry I didn't think to look for more NYSBloggers (like I'd have known what to look for) in the Cloudspin Lounge on Sat afternoon.

Anyways - ok got it now...well that's one person I "know" from here...I've met Coach Z very briefly on Mt. Run at some point this season as well.

Hopefully we cross paths again in the Slides on Saturday if that snow comes to fruition....

Coach and I spent a day in the Slides together last year.

I've met a handful of other guys, but mostly just in passing.

I wish....for Saturday.  My son moves back outdoors this weekend and we have to be home for a State Cup soccer game Sunday.  Have a great weekend.  I hope Mountain-Forecast.com has it right!

I was also able to make a bunch of Whiteface connections on Saturday.

Yeah, I noticed in your trip report you mentioned some tele guy named Jeff.  IIRC you also described him as "old," so obviously it wasn't me!

ER......oldER.  While he may have been a grey beard, he sure rocked the teles and didn't hesitate to jump in the tight trees and explore with us.  I'd never call anyone old, given I ain't no spring chick.....

I am a very youthful 52.  No beard.

It would be cool to have a section of this forum to "connect" with other NYSB'ers...like a "I'll be at X mountain on X day - who's gonna be there?  Let's take some runs....all NYSB'er meet at X location at this time and we'll get a group together" kind of thing....but a dedicated section to keep it organized....
