The drive down from Whitefish along Flathead Lake toward Missoula was pretty eventful.
A front was coming in and it gave us all kinds of weather phenomena
Before we knew it, our rented Toyota Sequoia was being pummeled by hail. We got ahead of the storm as we drove east on 90, but the storm caught up with us as we arrived in Anaconda. It started to snow heavily.
We braved the 8 block drive in a snowstorm from the Trade Winds Motel to the Barclay Supper Club, where large hunks of meat were consumed and washed down with red wine.
The next morning the snow had bonded to the road as ice and the wind was howling. We were skeptical as to what we would find at Ski Discovery.
There were probably no more than 50 cars in the parking lot. We never saw anyone skiing in the steep woods with the deep powder that we were skiing. Feeling pretty good after Day 4 of skiing with the boys.
