Re: Does anyone have backup boots?

I:)skiing
Just keep my old pair in case .  Likely a bad idea as I only replace them when really bad.   Got a new pair thus year.    Did not trust old pair only longer.  So in reality.  A bad plan

Of course.  1 pair of lift/resort boots, and two pairs of softer bc boots.  One pair of the bc boots could be used as groomer boots if need be.  Wouldn't want to use my groomer (T-Race) boots in the bc, but again, if I had no choice, then there's no question.

... Oh, and BTW , don't tell anyone, but I also have a pair of old Alpine boots... (You heard it here first... )

That's where it all starts.

I got my bindings and skins for my new ski but I need another set of bindings for my other new ski and an alpine boot to drive them and kinda want to get a 3 pin fish scale tele setup but that would need new boots and there's a nice skate ski track that goes up the summer road but it's almost biking season and I need a new back brake but living outta the 'Rester is so tight so I'll probably need a van but they're hard to find in 4wd but what about a biodiesel conversion...?
It's a slippery slope. This describes my switch to AT & Tech bindings several years ago. Going through all your gear and swapping things out with lighter weight gear - etc. By the time you get to the vehicle with real 4WD and enough ground clearance to keep the chassis above a foot or two of snow so you can get to the trail head you are into some really big bucks.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

Now I have a stiff NTN boot and a soft NTN boot (both in working order, since Scarpa got my walk mode switch to me and I fixed it last night). Excellent...
