All the Kings... Albert, B.B., Freddy.  They all rock.  But my favorite bluesman is Otis Rush.  Check Cold Day in Hell, recorded live in Japan.  Awesome.

But most of the time I'm rocking out to Phish...

Two hours plus each way to Plattekill on Sunday gave me the chance to listen dig in to last week's release of "Skydog:The Duane Allman Retrospective". Beautiful box set.

Yea, bunch of Allmans, Derek and the Dominos stuff. The real treats are the more obscure pre-Allmans stuff (Allman Joys, Hour Glass, 31st Of February) and the session work he did at Muscle Shoals studio late 60's-early 70's with Otis, Aretha, Wilson Pickett.

Well worth the bucks for the box.

It's funny how fallin' feels like flyin', even for a little while

I love music. I usually put on John Lennon, Grateful Dead, Beatles, lots of great 60 and 70s music, anything sounds awesome under control of Mary and I be liking that music for sure, Marley.

Awesome tracks above. Since we are into (mostly) old school rockin' blues, here's one to get you going. Wait for it:

Sweet gitar and keyboards SBR.

Freakin Les McCann in 1969, still resonates:

"The president he's got his war
Folks don't know just what it's for
Nobody gives us a rhyme or reason
Half of one doubt, they call it treason
We chicken feathers all, without one nut
Goddamit
Trying to make it real, compared to what?"
