Earn some turns

Does anyone know someplace on Long Island  where one could earn some turns. I thought maybe west hills.

Caumsett State Park. The hill behind the mansion, and then to the left of that through the woods starting near the water tanks.

Can't think of another place on LI where there is any more vertical than that. All 95 feet of it.

Or you could ski the sand dunes at Port Jeff harbor.

Go, PT.  Go to the corner, face the wall, and stay there for the rest of the day!  That was truly awful.

Found something to do after digging out. Earning turns here in the flat lands was crazy thinking

Go out to Farmingville, site of the only ski area that was ever open on LI. Might be the highest place on LI.  Bethpage golf course also has a few hills that you could get a few turns on.

Well it's not exactly what you were thinking but hey, paying for gas is in a way earning those turns!

I respectfully disagree. If I were back in the ADKs, I'd give him a high five for that.
