A-Basin opened today!!

I was thinking today ski areas would be opening soon. I'm only 5 weeks away from my favorite time of year and normally by the time deer season gets here you guys have been skiing for a week or so. SO!!!! It's getting real close!!

And we have forecasts for 70+ and sunny here next week.

Planning a ride around Seneca Lake on Friday the 20th. Of October.

I don't ever recall a line that long at Killington on opening day. Yikes!

Loveland couldn't pull off an opening last week, but will likely make an opening day announcement any day now. Both A-Basin and Loveland are very gracious to one another during their opening day competition.

Haha. Well, it is Colorado, so I can assure you that at least half of those people are stoned out of their minds. Have to be, right?

It took about fifteen seconds from getting off the chair to arriving at the end of that line. Hahaha. But, opening day skiers get the privilege of their own numbered mug at the bar. Me, I would have stayed in that bar all day.

Ha, yes. They make really good Bloody Mary's in that bar. It's served with a slice of bacon impaled on a skewer in there. All the necessary food groups, but, you might want to wash it down with a beer and pretend that's bread.

You could stand on the deck and throw olives at those people in line.
