Getting closer to home...

jjbrady
I have vicariously lived through you guys on the forum for the past few years. I am retiring from the Army in a few months and have spent my entire career south of the Mason Dixon line (or deployed). I haven't skied since 2010 when I had a brief stint in RI where I got to ski Mt. Sunapee and Killington a few times. I just accepted a job offer to work in northern MD...so although I am not back in NY, I am a heck of a lot closer. I am excited because now my 3 boys and wife will learn how to ski. I can finally put my property at Greek Peak to use besides as a rental property. I am looking forward to getting my ski legs back this winter and will probably spend most of my time at Ski Liberty in southern PA as it is the closest resort but will finally get to ski in my home state again. I can't wait! Hopefully we have a cold winter ahead.

Nice, man, welcome to the forum. I think "I:)skiing" skis down in that area.

And welcome back to skiing, too!

Welcome! I skied "Ski Liberty" when it was Sharnita back in the early 60's. I have (not so) fond memories of it back then. If you can make it up to the Daks, come join us for some fun.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

Thanks guys...I know Liberty is small but it will be a nice place to re-learn how to ski after about 20 years. Once I get the hang of it again, off to GP and maybe even a trip to the Daks to get some bigger mountains. Thank you Harvey for such a great site!
