Ski Day 7: Got to Gore around 2, booted up and headed straight for the trees.

Pine Brook

First skiing in two weeks and first tree skiing of the year. Snow was incredible if packed out in a few spots. The moisture that was in that snow when it fell seemed to have vanished in two days.

They were blowing on Hawkeye. According to Gore.com Chatiemac, Hawkeye and Open Pit for tomorrow.

Otter Slide.

Among the highlights of the day were High Pines and Twister.

High Pines

Great snow. I highly recommend skiing. Tomorrow or any day really.

I'm surprised you didn't see more powder. I heard that on Saturday there was plenty of fresh snow to be had.

We skied a lot of fresh snow at Killington Saturday. I was surprised how much was left, but they opened the entire mountain, so there were plenty of places no one had been yet.

That's the result of opening the summit lifts for the first time after a big storm.

Here are a few more shots from Friday at Gore.

Snow at the Park sign on the Northway in December is good to see.
