Greek Peak's last Opening Day?

  Greek Peak is opening tomorrow, Dec 1st. Looks like they're kicking off with Illiad instead of Elysian Fields, as they normally do. Anyone going to be there? Camp? Big D? PDQ? I think I'll be kicking off my season tomorrow, but I'm not sure where. I've got early season vouchers to Gore and Windham. I was leaning towards Windham since I let my Warren Miller vouchers for them go unused the past two seasons. Not sure Gore is worth the trip at this time, though I'm sure they have the most to offer of the three. Got a BOGO for Kmart as well. They may be the best bet, if it isn't too zooy, probably will be. Maybe I'll just go to Greek, pick up my pass, and make a few turns. It could  be they're last opening day.

I know Pro and ATSD are there, maybe Racer Ron---The Banker and I wont be around for a couple more weeks, we'll keep an eye out fer ya CH. U know where to find us tho

  John was the first person I saw there at 7:40. The office was locked, and the ticket booth windows were shuttered. I had a cup o joe at the Taverna and lost track of John. Made some turns with Big D, Camo John, and horn honkin Walt, of the Triple Cities Ski Club, about ten laps, that was plenty.   The "snow" wasn't bad, turned the consistency of Italian ice by ten. Yeah, don't think I'd pay $45 for it. Felt great to be sliding again! Bring it this year Ullr, you had most of last year off.

I don't know what time the chair started spinning but we were there at 8:30

We asked the lift attendant how many day passes he had seen and he said 4...

I skied from 8:35 am or so till 3:30 pm with a long lunch. Have a few pics:

That b him---he skis every day, EVERY day that GP is open.

another lameazz excuse---ifin U were there by 7:30 (like we're suposed too) it wouldn't have been a problem---lame pro, very lame

that's awesome!  once our friend "Pat from Standish" grows his beard back, he'll look like a younger verison of your camo John.

We were both there early but one of us didn't have our pass yet...

CH, you may have hit the nail right on the head with this thread.

Heading into Xmas week and we'll be LUCKY to have one trail open. This is gonna cost them BIG TIME.

Very sad indeed. I would think GP would be unlikely to get another 1.6 million dollar emergency loan.

Hopefully by Dec. 26 they will have more trails open and get some skiing customers.
