Haul rope cut on Sea To Sky gondola, no injuries

The haul rope was deliberately cut on the Sea To Sky gondola in BC.  It was in the middle of the night so no injuries.  Almost all the cars crashed to the ground.  Being investigated as a criminal act of vandalism.

Seems to be the going theory but an article I read implies that the police haven’t inspected the cable yet- something like “RCMP are making plans to walk the line...”

The technical report include pictures and a diagram that shows exactly which strands of the haul rope that were cut through.  The exact location info is redacted, meaning no tower numbers in what were released publicly.
