High Peaks 3/8,9

skimore
Sunshine and virtually no wind. Great snow on favorable aspects

Glad we weren't skiing this tracked up mess

Another tell of how down the snowfall was this year. Marcy cone is usually completely white

Beautiful pictures.  When were these taken?  I was atop the Angel Slides on Saturday with a group of 8 (taking a Level 1 avi course).  Is that us?  We did see a plane overhead.

Funny coincidence.   Yes, there were loads of people up there.  We spent most of the time digging pits and exploring.  The top half of the slide was still really nice.  The bottom half--not so much.  Are the pictures slide guide stuff or some just fun (or for your personal, confidential map!)?

I don't think those were taken from an airplane.  Looks like from somewhere on Phelps - maybe with a telephoto.  That birch glade looks familiar.

DakerDan: the course was run by the AAI out of Idaho and, locally, by Cloudsplitter Guides.
