Doesn't look like much fun. Snow and ice patches were starting to show up on Crane Sunday and that's not nearly as high.

That area seems to do well with snow. There must have been a 10' base end of March a couple years ago

 WHile climbing up the slide my daughter asked if we could come back in the winter and ski it, I have not heard how well it holds snow but would imagine the south facing terrain would not be so good.  

It does OK, but keep in mind you'll be adding a few miles on the road in the winter.

How far did you hike up, that pic looks like it was just about at the entry closer to the bottom of the slide.

Skied it from the top and the road was fully covered

I just spent nearly an hour typing up something about my hike of Blue Mountain this morning, and while I'm adding pictures, something on the webpage crapped out and I lost everything I wrote.  I'll try it again later...it's too beautiful out here to sit inside all day!
