I Am Happy (1.0)

I thought it would be good to have a counterpoint to sno's unhappy threads.

I was coming back from Plattekill, listening to tunes, singing out, elated as I am after skiing.

I started thinking... I know this season has been crappy by some objective measures, but I find myself having a lot of fun.

Today was fantastic, great comaraderie, good snow, lots of sun.

If you're bummed about something, post in sno's thread  or start your own.

Post in this thread if life is good, and you love to skiing and life even in a crappy season.

As cold as I was yesterday the two runs i got on Mt Run were as good or better than many powder runs.  Maybe it's just a decent run in a bad year but I'm rating it a 10

Balmy 10-15d in peeyay this weekend, best non pow snow maybe ever, low crowds, fresh wax and tune, surfin tele bumps this evening sooooo fun! Hopefully pow tomorrow !?

Season's just ramping up and getting better by the week. Things skiing related are just very good across the spectrum for me. Thought this season was going to be a disaster, but good fate has steered things a complete 180 and it's looking like it may be one of my best season's ever! Find it hard to believe myself, but it is what it is, in a very positive fashion. No complaints whatsoever. Good fortune all around!

I am very happy!!!  Was skiing and making turns yesterday with Harvey, my family and other good friends and ski buddies.  Life is Good. Life skiing is even better.

That's the way you do it.  Maybe get a blister on your middle finger....maybe get a blister on your thumb!

Mark Knopfler makes me happy.  Especially the guitar tone on Sultans of Swing.  Impossibly good.

Yeah I'm pretty happy. In spite of the weather, I've gotten a lot of  good skiing in, some really great days. Today I even got my younger son to stop wedge turning on the hill. That makes me happy.

Getting to know my kids' instructors more this season. Definitely a high point! Less snow, less terrain, more face time. Finding it to be a pretty good tradeoff this year.

I am lov'in life. I may be getting older, can't pump out the fast turns anymore, break easier when I fall but I feel like I am very much alive and can't wait to get up every morning and see what new adventures lie ahead.
