I'll Give You 100" of Snow in 30 Days

If you could have 100 inches of snow fall in 30 days at your favorite ski "area" (lift served or not) how would you take it?

At one extreme would be 100 inches on day one, the opposite end of the scale would be 3.3" a day, every day.

Stay away from days of the week, just distribution.. Day 1 etc.

This starts now so the current base is what it is.

6.6" every two days. A good refreshing of the surface but not enough to overwhelm the infrastructure (groomers, snowplowing of roads, etc.). If you got up early, six inched would be no big deal for driving. Assuming that you had snow tires!

This would also be enough to leave the casual powder seekers happy on the well-known trails, while the stashes would accumulate.

Would depend on density, weekend or mid-week. But more than likely, 4 even shots of 25", once a week. There aren't many two feet days in any given year, take em' when you can get them. More than two feet is diminishing returns, I'd rather spread it out than go bottomless.

I'll take 13.2" every 4 days at Platty.

4 ft right now to get more terrain open. Would also open the woods for those knot heads.

Well I believe we had 84" fall here in December, and to be honest, I've forgotten how much we got each day.  Another 20" fell the first week of this month, and it was icing on the cake.  It was all good, and the skiing was wicked fun.  

I guess my point is that if your lucky enough to get that much snow (first time around here for eons..) in 30 days, ski and be thankful.  I did, and I am.

Here's how I'd like mine as well as the timing. Starting tomorrow, Feb 1st thru Feb 22nd I'd like 1"/day, then Feb 23rd thru March 2nd 9.75" per day. I'm off the last week in Feb for nothing but skiing, friends and beer --- WOOT
