One more reason to never buy a full season pass and instead opt for a non-holiday pass.  The extra 200 bucks just allows you to stand in lines longer.  Except Gore.  

On average 8 or 9 of my 30-35 days per year are holidays.  No matter what happens skiing is the best way (for me) to spend Christmas / New Years vs what... hanging around the flatlands?  What do you do if you own place in the mtns and it dumps?  Holiday or no I go.

Yes - Hunter's lines SUCK on holiday weekends on the 6Pack.....   Deal with it and find a lift without a line...

Nice to have the luxury of blowing off holiday weekends, especially if it's one that came right after a weekend when it rained so hard they closed the mountain. Some of us have 9-5 jobs.

I stopped just above the Gore base on Saturday, and was pretty amazed at the sight of a massive line to get on the gondola, and the crowd on the deck in the background. Im' guessing I was looking at 2000 people. Most crowded I have ever seen that place. Funny thing, though, the Adirondack Express was fairly empty.

There is so much more out there than mountain creek and hunter
You seem like a nice kid and I feel for ya but you need to find somewhere else to ski.  How good could the skiing be with that many people there.

Gore really wasn't that bad this 3 day weekend.  Especially if you were lucky enough, as may family was, to ski today.  It was a ghost town.  And with 3 or 4 inches of fresh up top.   Pretty, pretty good.

I'd go to Windham or Platty over Hunter every time if we are talking about weekend skiing.
