Zoomed in on the pic of lower Superstar taken on Tues. 4/18. This was groomed in the morning but bumped of fairly fast on a warm sunny day. Consider how big these bumps would/will get on a warm weekend day with many more skiers.

Love the superstar bump pics.

Not this weekend. Next? TBD. I usually hit Killy the same weekend I stack the firewood for next year, still trying to find a source that will cut it short for our little stove.

Anyone have an idea of how long Killy will last?

I'm planning on skiing Superstar for my birthday, the weekend of May 20th.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

It's funny you say that. I'm hoping they last that long for the exact same reason

I was standing on the top of Superstar this morning trying to survey the situation, but the truth is, I can never tell. What I will say, is that they lost quite a bit since last weekend.

Skied Killington on Sunday 4/23/17 with Cornhead. Briilliant Sunny, Warm, Spring Day with excellent Spring Skiing.
Superstar had been groomed overnight but it bumped up after awhile.

Cascade looking fat-ish. Was anyone skiing it?  Opinions on whether it will "last" the week?

Cascade will be a hike too from the summit of Superstar chair. You can certainly get there, though launchpad is looking thin and the connection to Spillway via the Canyon Quad could be a lake. Give that I think Friday is 78, not sure what it will look like. It's just hard to think that 2 weeks ago we were in POWDER conditions.  Crazy... It skied nice yesterday as well as Highline - though those you had to cross over grass and rock to get on and off.

My son and I were there yesterday
Skied with Sno and Snodad
Also ran into Gunny a few times
I thought Cascade was better than Superstar. No lift lines but SS had lots of idiots on it felt a bit crowded.

There was a yearling Bear hanging out on Bottom of Royal Flush watching the skiers.  Yearling have recently been kicked out by mommy bear and are a bit curious and confused by the world

Mounted these old sticks up with modern bindings for Son Derek. Great ski for the bumps on the SS. Very pleased with Killington. Worth the 4 hour ride up.

The Bear was hanging out for well over 2 hours just above the bottom of the Canyon Quad

People kept saying Mommy was going to show up and be pissed but it was way too big for this years cub and Mommy has split on this guy.  He seemed a bit lonely I think he was enjoying the show.  Now he will have the Canyon and K peak area to himself for the rest of the spring and summer.  Mommy was likely somewhere else and when he got kicked out he had to go find his own area.  VT's version of DEC may decide to relocate him if he takes up permanent residence though.

We hit highline a few times thinking we would see him/her on the way over. We stopped a few times above Royal Flush  and looked around from the Gondi and the Canyon Quad.  Oh well.. Good thing you got it.

Oh, East Fall - that run was wicked treacherous. Good thing we only did it once.

I commend K for leaving East fall open, I survived it without turning myself into a wet muddy  mess, but was sure glad the camera was not rolling.
