I never went really big into Corbets to be honest. I always had different objectives on those big days. Once I got into filming stuff we always went by it. The straight forward to the landing on the left just past the goat path is probably the only one I would consider. Transition is your friend!
I’ve done the regular goat path too many times to count. Even when the snow wasn’t great we would go in there to smoke pot in the cave.
I kind of always thought Corbets was overrated. There’s way spicier stuff all around you once you walk out of the red box.
I wondered how locals felt about it. It would make sense that once you're there for a while you find spots that are less public. I dig the smoking cave tho ---- look for the smoke signals
It’s a favorite for some locals and it’s a classic for sure.
Did you see Jeff’s swan dive off the west wall? When I saw his name on the roster I was wondering how he would approach this if the snow wasn’t that deep. He went for it and the snow looked set up, that was gnarly. He’s not that much younger than me.
You should never smoke in a gondola ever. It stinks up the whole car so now everyone else that's going to ride it is going to get to breath in whatever you were smoking. You can wait 5-10 minutes until you get to the top.
Don't let anyone tell you that something can't be done.
Don't mind admitting I teared up some on this.
Eric M. Frazier. Wheelchair athlete. I can't find the video, it might only be on Instagram. But he pulls up to a self serve gas station in his SUV. Drops down a couple wheels and an aluminum frame... assembles wheelchair lickety split.... pumps gas... gets back in to truck.
