Looking for advice where to stay in Wilmington

ADmiKe
Planning to head up for a long weekend with my wife for some hiking/biking either July 11th or 18th for 3 nights.
Since the price is double at my usual spot that I go to in the winter in Lake Placid, I'm looking for some suggestions on a nice clean place to get a room in Wilmington...I've never looked into hotels there before, as I usually stay right in town (LP).

I've only camped in the area in summer(which I'm still considering as a cost effective option), but I will only be up for 3 days and don't know if I want to deal with the whole set-up and tear down of a campsite, I'd rather spend the time doing other stuff.

Thanks
Mike

I'd sack up and camp. Then I'd use the money I saved to buy telemark bindings.

Depends on what you're looking for.  We've been regulars at the Brookside for several years, it is our go-to place.  One great thing, the rooms have kitchenettes, you can cook meals instead of frittering away all your time and $$ in restaurants.  Marlene the landlady is awesome, and she did a lot for the community during Hurricane Irene.
