A long time ago, some ski area employee that shall remain nameless, once told me:

If you enjoy your time skiing, don't ever work for a ski mountain.

I don't think that person worked at Mad River Glen, where even the bartenders have been there since the coop formed. Nevermind the fact that the Pratts had it until they died. That place takes a special breed, obviously, and I would like it if Erik could move me up a few notches for his job that they will apparently have to pry him out of.

Thanks, MogulJunkie.

I hear this one over and over but it wasn't true for me. I skied every day I worked at Alpine Meadows and most of the days I worked at Killington. It was great except for the low pay and the seasonal layoff.

I don't know. The worst would be just be able to ski in the afternoon on powder days, which I suspect most jobs that actually allow you to ski have those hours, except for bartender.
