I saw that. I'm really not qualified but I've gotten jobs I wasn't qualified for before. Maybe I should apply

I'll take that job. I'll make MRG great again. I'll build a wall to keep out snow boarders. We will lower ticket prices and make it up on volume. Women will love me - and I will love them, all of them.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

I'll take that job!!

100% snowmaking, wide and meticulously groomed trails, bubble HSQ's to replace single and Sunnyside Double.  Fixed quads with loading carpets to replace the other two doubles.  Raise ticket prices to keep the riff raff out.  Also, don't forget to open it up to snowboarders and make sure there are plenty of terrain parks available for them.

Come on, you know I'm just kidding.  Why destroy MRG's character to satisfy my ideals when there are dozens of other ski areas that satisfy them much better.  I'd rather run one of those and do the small number of improvements needed than try to reinvent MRG and make their customer base hate me.

Haha! Yes I know Sno, you were kidding...ok maybe half kidding.

and ya, if you could manage to pull that off you would be more hated than Less Rotten back in the late 90's!

I was thinking that the gm works for the co-op there anyways and I'm not sure what that would be like. It seems like it could be a demanding gig.

thanks man. I would keep writing, one MRG trip report a day. It would drive you crazy with jealousy... Rolled out of bed, 3 runs before work, ate shit on some bumps at lunch, quit early to go skiing...

That's funny.

I also think the first hire after GM should be Ethan to take care of the two fan guns.

For the record I am also 150th or so in line for the marketing gig.

If you actually like to go skiing it's not a very good job.

That job is a f'n nightmare..
imagine trying to manage, god knows how many underpaid part time employees..
Trying to motivate your employees on a powder day to give a good guest experience , it would be hell..

smiles everyone, there is 18 inches of fresh and you can't ski.. good luck with that...

I was thinking that being a co-op it might be like having who knows how many bosses, you wouldn't be just managing the mountain and employees but every single person that has stock in the place and thinks they know better than you do.

It basically would amount to very little time skiing and a whole lot of time watching people ski from your office window.....if you have a window.
