The article also mentions new trails at Gore.  New trails = less glades. Not an improvement for me.

Truth be told, I don't need no stinking' alpine coaster at Mt van Ho either.  But the snowmaking system, new lodge and new biathlon stadium are long overdue.

Biathalon is fascinating to me. That looks very hard and also shows the sport-as-substitute-for-war relationship clearly.

I tried summer biathlon a few years back. Doesn't matter how big your motor is if you can't shoot.  And I can't shoot.  I'm not clear on how they train to relax when they arrive at the range.

Mt van Ho has an introductory program called Be a Biathlete if you're interested.

That is the challenge.

What a great concept for a sport.
