Man Skied & Video Blogged all 42 NYS Ski Areas in 2011/12 season

Big D
This guy from Western NYS, I think the Buffalo area, skied and did a video blog from each ski area in New York State. He did this from early Jan. 2012 til mid-Feb/12. He hit all 42 NY ski areas in 44 days. He says that Holiday Valley is his home mountain. He has all the videos on Youtube. From tiny Sawkill ski area (the smallest ski area in the world with 70 vertical feet) to Gore and Whiteface and all areas in between. He has a website, Facebook page and Youtube page - Skimypov.com

He had 1 of these "I Ski NY - Gold Cards". I see they just went on sale for next season today 4/2/12 for $888. They allow one lift ticket per day to be redeemed at any of the New York ski areas. Plus they are transferrable.

Here is a pic of all 42 lift tickets:

Here is a pic of a roadmap and the ski area locations:

Here is a pic of the guy, at Hunter Mtn:

Here is his video blog about Plattekill:

I saw this guy before (I can't remember if I posted about it). I watched the Gore one. I just couldn't stand the guy's radio announcer-ish voice.  Really irritated me for some reason.

Jack is quite a character.  I first learned about him through our relationship with SANY. Came "this close" to meeting him when Neve and I skied Mount Peter and he was filming at Tuxedo Ridge the same day.

I think his home mountain may be Holimont.  There was a moment two weeks ago when it looked like Holimont might be the last NY area standing. (Ultimately Whiteface, Hunter and Royal were 1st, 2nd and 3rd and Holimont was 4th, outlasting Gore!) He actually invited me to come up to stay with him and ski the last runs up there. Would have been a hoot.

I wonder if he's going to do a total NY edit for SANY.

Dig the pic of the lift tickets.  Hey Jason... if I won the lottery in winter the first thing I would do is road trip all those areas.

Nice.

I think Maine also has one of these deals. A lot less areas, of course.

Another neat single season feat was the 50 ski area Odyssey:
