Re: Michigan ski resorts compete for longest season
It's really like comparing apples to oranges. Boyne has man made snow which is more durable, shorter runs and they have a groomer to push around snow. Bohemia runs are longer and no groomer to push around snow. Bohemia posted that they will make an announcement on Wednesday on weather or not they will be open this weekend, They said with the warm weather this week it will be tough to be open, As of right now Boyne says thay will be open on Saturday.
Re: Michigan ski resorts compete for longest season
Bohemia has closed for the season. Boyne will be open this weekend. I know that it wasn't really a fair competition, but in the end a charity will get some money and the competition got some media attention which helped people realize that just because there is no snow in your back yard that doesn't mean the ski season is over.
