day started off partly cloudy..the skiing was firm but very edgeable. locals were crying, us easterners were loving it. started to snow moderately after 10, with wind gusts over 50mph on top of the lift..some of the wildest weather i've experienced. the 1 inch that fell made a good day great..great fun was had

You didn't know about Bachelor, Harv?  Best reason to move to Bend, OR (in addition to breweries, wineries, other outdoor opportunities, and general awesome vibe)

I mean I knew it was a "glacier" with a lot of vert, and assumed it was awesome, but I never looked at the trail map before Jason's trip.  Explore the volcano, or ride the magic carpet - fun for the whole family  What's the steepest or knarliest terrain? The whole backside is rated double black.

It's interesting to see a lift-served mountain of that size (3,000 skiable acres) with no slopeside accommodations.

Sorry, Jason. The Summit lift is now open.

Thanks for the Bachelor TR.  I spent a lot of time there in my 20s and it is awesome.  I would love to get back!
