Anyone know how come only old classic rock is played in the lodges?  I like it but its always the same and couldn't there be at least something from after 1975?

I think the idea is to get to the people who are PAYING for everything.  Remind them of their youth, and maybe they won't stress as much over a $10 hamburger?

Gore does it an I have to admit I like it. But I only hear maybe one or two tunes - I'm not in there much.

Plattekill plays the dead, and I like that a lot:

BTW Plattekill logo is also inspired by grateful imagery.

At this point, having spent every weekend at Gore, and a bunch of weekdays, the Dead sounds refreshing.  I have to try Platekill, never skied there.

Sunday might be a good day to try Plattekill.

I just heard NPR play "The Great Curve" from Talking Heads, Remain in Light.

THAT is LODGE MUSIC!

Gore should just play E(ski)QX. Problem solved.
Other than the part where they give out tickets to Magic every hour. Gore may not like that.

Gore used to have a volume control knob right above the table I always sit at. I used to crank it in the back room. Shortly after, they took the volume control out. Jerks

For me, the classics just seem like they belong at a ski lodge..don't know what it is, but i love hearing the dead in an old rustic ski lodge..

Live Music on Saturday in the Cloudspin Lounge has been excellent.  Lucid, Big Boss Sausage and The Stone Revival Band to name a few!  Excellent jam-N-jump around music.

Not in the lodge but MRG often times kicks up the jams on the Single.
