We all need a bit of happiness right now.

Not just any truck, but a 1986 Chevy Silverado 3/4 ton. And, it's  RED, my favorite color! 86k miles and in really nice shape.

Here Stupid interwebs. I am trying to post a picture.

truck and fit

It helps when I remember to resize it.  (The photo, not the truck, that is.)  It's a good two and a half, three foot drop to get in or out of the cab.

He has had fun today taking it on some seasonal roads, and locking the hubs. OMG, am I that old???? Locking the hubs????Anyhow, he is doing off roading better with this than I tried with my VW Rabbit.  Or, even worse, taking my parent's Volare station wagon on seasonal roads in the dark, drinking beer.  Please don't tell them...

I remember getting tanked and off roading in my brothers Ford Bronco in West VA back in the late 70s, in the middle of the night. Glad I was bombed and he was driving - we called it “Wooding” back then.

Yes yes yes
That's a wicked cool ride. Love me some trucks. What's interesting is they're now making new trucks that look old.

Did he go south to find that? From the pic it looks pretty solid.

Nice.  Wish I could justify owning a truck myself.

Meanwhile, I saw this bad boy in Upper Jay during Christmas break.  1991 DIESEL Toyota Land Cruiser, right hand drive.  Grey market vehicle from Japan; they were never sold here.  Daily driver.
