Harv  : Snow ridge is now weekends ONLY  fri- sun

Not sure why Big Tupper closed, there was a lot more snow cover on the hill Sat and Sunday than there was the first 5 days they operated. My friend skinned up yesterday am and got several nice lines of 4-6" of pow on several trails. It was turning to glue by 11am but still a pretty good base underneath. Easily could have opened for the weekend. I'd be a little peeved if I had purchased a season pass. Won't matter much after the next few days anyway.

Not on your list but Maple Ski Ridge closed 3/4

Does anyone know if there's still skinnable snow left at Sterling Forest? I was really itching to hit Thunder Ridge tonight, and then this list happened.

Damn, my youngest has the Grade 4 Passport and its Ontario Spring Break. I was hoping to hit Tupper with WF on Wednesday and Titus this week.

Weather and stuff... we are probably going to be at WF on Wed and Titus on Thurs. Any other suggestion for areas within easily within range from the Canadian border? More or less starting close to WF and north of that?

I heard a rumor that Gore may close on the 15th. Can anyone confirm? Sounds a bit early. Was planning to go up this weekend.

I'm positive that they will not close on 15th.
18th is a possibility, 25th is most likely, but tomorrow?

There's a large group of Canadians up there for the week.  What aboot them, eh?

I just think that Titus Mountain are bitting themselves in the foot after talking about getting Ontario kids to ski there...taken from the Titus website:

Update, lifts have been closed Tuesday, Wednesday and today due to rain (I don't know about Monday and the forecast calls for rain tomorrow).If they are making decisions based on the forecast, mentioning and trying to attract people from the Ontario school Break and not even trying to opening midweek. I'm pretty sure there is more than one family that has been affected and pretty sure they will not even take a chance to book one week of skiing in Malone next year or in the future if the hill was closed and it wasn't even raining. Oh yeah, it was pretty sunny with blue skies when I drove by Titus today.

I'm just happy I didn't book lodging in Malone. Skied Whiteface yesterday, it wasn't what I called rain. Today was the nicest day in the forecast.

Thanks Titus, now I'll see if I can get a refund from Liftutopia (1st time used the site). Am interesting TR is on the way.

Whiteface conditions and school coverage are that of early April. If temps remain so high above freezing, season is going to end real fast.

Saw them getting a group photo today. Must've been about 250 of them.

It's getting thin out there.
Except for Uncas. Uncas has mountains of snow on it.

If anyone has info on when some of the above mountains actually closed I'd appreciate the help. Would be kind of cool to keep a record of it. Websites mostly say "closed" but don't give any more info.

Plattekill is done as of today. Windham is closed for the week and will try to reopen next Friday.

Magic slipped quietly into the night, I'm not sure if they were able to spin yesterday but they are closed today.

Mad is done after today. Supposedly the top half is really good skiing, the bottom half is really good hiking.

I just saw this on fb think that means they closed Sat 3/17

Ski West Mountain
Thank you everyone that came out and supported the mountain for the 2011/12 winter season. What a crazy season it was! Saint Patrick’s Day Digg'n for Gold Extravaganza marked the end of skiing, snowboarding & tubing for the 2011/12 winter season here at Ski West Mountain. We deeply appreciate everyone that came out and enjoyed the “man made” snow this year! Lets hear it for our owner, Mike Barbone and the snowmaking team who did an excellent job providing such quality conditions. BRAVO!

Yes, West closed after skiing on the 17th, then had snow mobile races on the last of the snow.
