NY Ski Area Closing Dates (2014)

I'm hearing that Hunter is shutting it down this Sunday.

If 100 tickets are sold, Plattekill will open for one more Sunday.

No Catskills after this weekend.  Belleayre and Hunter are both closing on 4/13.

Whiteface will remain open till at least 4/20.

Gore is planning one more 5 day week next week.

Gore just posted on facebook that "Easter Sunday will be Closing Day."

They could have said "Come celebrate 420 with us, dudes"

Hottest day since September in Ottawa. 78F today then back down to 28F for a high tomorrow with possibly some accumulation in town.

Locals hills are still very white and little bare spots at Edelweiss (closed on the 6th) last night for the staff party, but that was before the downpour. No locals are spinning midweek, Fortune might reopen for Easter weekend.

Here is the Ski Mad World weekly update...39 are hoping to open sometime Easter weekend. 20 of them in Quebec. 4 in New York....

Bristol – April 19 (tentative Fri-Sat only)
Gore – April 20 (Wed-Sun only)

A maximum of a dozen are looking beyond the Easter Holiday.

Bristol and Song both anounced this afternoon that they are closed for the season.

Songs last day was Sat. 4/12/14 and Bristols was Sun 4/13/14.

Royal was open 4/12-4/13. Reopening 4/19 for pass holders only.

Did I see correctly, you have Polar closing on May 20 (5/20) ???.

That's what the guys told me they were shooting for 2 weeks ago. I believe they do have some snow.  I asked them to shoot for 5/21.

According to Whiteface's facebook page, they will open weekends only as long as snow allows past this weekend.

Whiteface has just posted on their website that they will open next weekend if conditions permit.

As you are pretty much all aware, Whiteface is tentative about opening next weekend. Not sure I can count Polar Peak if it is a personal hill. (I would like to get more info on this place).

Elsewhere in the East:

Many are now running on weekend only. Only 4 of spinning midweek : Jay, Bush, Kmart and Loaf

On the positive, Wildcat NH just confirmed about this weekend. Ski Mad World has been updated a few moments ago.
