Because when snow conditions are abysmal in your neck-of-the-woods, you have to see what you are missing out on.

18" of fresh and the front 50 cm of his skis stay on the top layer of snow the whole run - must have had a ton of rocker

I kind of like being in the snow not just on top of it
A true measure of a person's intelligence is how much they agree with you.

What a tease. Sure looks like fun. Doesn't really look like 18" but who cares at least someone has snow. Can you imagine how much snow would have piled up if all the rain in the last 24 hrs had fallen as snow? Mother Nature has a really perverted sense of humor as far as skiers are concerned.

In all fairness, the snow apparently fell over three days.  No doubt there has been some settling.  I wouldn't complain.  Longhorn is a sick trail.

I:)skiing
was def power, was watching it fly.   I agree, his skis must have been deeply rockered.     He was in good balance and did not make many turns, no real need for stamina....basically he was just having a ball,  falling down the hill.  No real work, the joy of skiing.

Looks like the K2 Rictor . . . Not too much rocker, but it does have "all terrain rocker" which I think is an early rise, meant for a 50/50 piste/off piste mix (according to the website).  I think there just wasn't that much snow.
