New on here

gebbyfish
Just started downhill skiing again after a 20 year hiatus, as my youngest daughter wants to ski more and just bought all new gear and season passes to Gore and have been twice.  So glad I found the site and am enjoying all the informative posts.  Any advice on lessons?  I'm thinking of doing a private lesson with my daughter next year at Gore focusing on bumps and then maybe doing one of their mult-session group things on Thursdays next winter.  Hoping to get up a couple more times this year as well!  Keep it up! :D

IMO, the best teacher is time on the mtn. Season passes and one can spend many days skiing. That equals improvement. Practice makes perfect and there's no substitute for all the muscle conditioning one gets skiing your buns off.

fish, this lessons advise is old yet true: signup for group lessons with your daughter early in the season before Christmas (Sunday better choice on weekends) and you'll most likely enjoy semi-private for the group price.
