New slide forming on back side of Whiteface?

On the boat today I noticed the slide / creek bed/ possible a new cut trail?   It's on the left side of the photo.  Looks like it comes right off the highway which almost makes me think someone cut it.  

It had not ever noticed it before but we were out Pretty late and the setting sun was shining on it from the west.

I hope it is natural.

Coach, has there been enough rain up there to cause a new slide / crick ???

Not really but T storms can be intense at that elevation.  Makes me think it may not be ma nature.

If anyone knows if that has been there for awhile or is skiable it would be RonKon.  I just pinged him to see what he knows about this and if its skiable.

Would be a hell of a hike out of there.

Thanks Campy - I never noticed it before.  I think you need to be at the right angle to really notice it.  Looks like a creek bed from your photo while in person from the lake it didn't appear to be a creekbed.  What makes it look so different from the slide nearby is that it is not down to the rock (yet?)

Water is going to keep going down the same place so it will probably keep opening up. May be the new drainage they put in is sending more water down it. Whatever the reason I hope it uptrend up more.

Along those lines this could have started pre road and then got less flow with the road.  The new road drainage could have stared it's flow again.  It definately looks different and sticks out now.
