Ski Day 20: We'd heard reports that the higher elevations in the Adks and VT might not soften today. So we stayed in the lowlands and harvested what ma natch has sewn for the last month. So I took my crappy cell phone camera and called it #20.
At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
We drove to the "trailhead" to save on energy expended carrying our gear over hill and dale (icy sidewalks mostly).
We found some nice corn snow that was melting fast.
Neve was 100% skeptical about the conditions but eventually begrudingly admitted "hey Dad this isn't so bad."
"It looks like winter but feels like summer."
Could NOT convince her to wear a coat.
The girl has a natural instinct for nordic I think. She's doing step turns on the downhill, and I never showed her the technique.
Dig it.
