The new trails at the North Creek Ski Bowl are getting some solid reviews from riders. Not surprising as they were designed and built by Wilderness Property Management, the company headed by Steve Ovitt. Steve was the mastermind behind the reborn Raymond Brook Ski Trail and other projects. This edit was done by Zachary Rabeler who worked with WPM.

You work literally 3 minutes from SMBA by bike. |
I don't have a bike anymore. |
Trail map?
Regrettably there is no mention of the Ski Bowl mtb trails on Gore's website. |
And probably won't be as The Ski Bowl is owned by the Town of Johnsburg. ORDA only has use of the land Nov-Apr. The trails belong to the town, and since Gore marketing has a difficult time working with others = no map on the website... kinda like the webcam
Gotta go to know

Can you use regular mountain bikes or are DH bikes recommend?

Steve may have one from the job. I'll reach out to him. If one exists I'll post it in the directory.

In any case, is there a trail map on the Town's website, or anywhere else that you can post a link to? The trails look pretty cool from the video, and (I hate to admit it) I was completely unaware of their existence until now. I think having the trailhead a block from Main Street is awesome. I know that concept is fundamental to the work Steve O has done in the area - bring the trails to the people, tie the community to the mountain. I'm going to have to get up there to ride. |

Not playing nice in the sand box is what really drives me nuts about Gore and Northcreek. God Sakes People!
You have a common goal! Share your toys. I also did not know about the bike trails in ski-bowl. That is sad given that I long for stuff to read about this place. We were even up at the base area talking to Gore employees who never said a word. |

Trails have been in the making 3 years now. A little more each year, 4 main loops, a rock garden, very fun very technical, 2 whoop te does and the Raymond Brook connector with the wicked downhill into the parking lot and the easy ride back to the ski bowl. All trails are named and well marked. Jeff or anyone want to ride weekends or after work PM me.

Hi Ed!
Update on the map for the NCSB MTB trails: Steve believes a map/brochure publication should be made of the trail system. His mapping software is designed for navigation and field work which doesn’t allow him to create the appropriate document. He doesn’t want to provide a somewhat adequate map and have that keep the appropriate publication from being made. The Gore Chamber and the North Creek Business Alliance have all the information necessary to develop the appropriate map and WPM will assist in the development of the map when they are ready to move ahead. Estimated completion of map/brochure: next spring or summer.

We're looking forward to getting up there in the next couple of weeks to check out the new trails. I was hoping Tbatt would be posting some pictures from his adventure there yesterday.
The day begins... Your mountain awaits.

Seems like the Town – not Gore – should be doing more to promote these trails. Hey Ed! I may take you up on that if I can get back up to the Crick in the next few weeks. |

No lifts for the trails. XC bikes are good. Didn't make it up to the NC trails. Maybe tomorrow. Rode some of the new Gurney Lane trails though, also made by WPM/ Steve. |

I would love to ride this trail next weekend. Is it open to the public? Is there a fee. I would love to make a donation to WPM if need be. cCan someone who knows the protocol give me some feedback. Thanks
