Great idea Jeff, wish I could attend but I have family coming in that weekend - thier first time at Gore.

Where exactly does this begin? Do you need a lift ticket? or does the $10 include the lift ride?

Any more details? I would like to pass them on to the xc skiers in my group that weekend.

Damn, wish I could be there but I have to teach the tele trees & steeps (probably). Move the time to 4 or 5 o'clock And I'm in. It's better for Après that way, too.

That would be the only way the skiers who buy lift tickets could get there with xc/bc skis. I just got a pair of Fischer Boundless...they would be ideal for that run. I don't think I would race, but I would like to ski it. Might be more fun with headlamps after hours.

The race has nothing to do with gore. We start on Raymond brook trail on Barton mine road and ski to rt 28. The race starts at 11am and the party will follow at the store. The 10 bucks gets you the race a shuttle free beer and music. TGS will also have giveaways. Register online by email at adkgear@gmail.com

oh I didn't realize that. that is why I was trying to find more information. Then, I was wondering where to meet for the race? On poster I saw Gore Mtn map and the ski bowl, so I thought it was there. I googled Raymond Brook and figured out what that was.

It is very possible my xc ski friends would like to do this...so let me know what I should tell them about where to meet and what is involved so that they will be prepared. Can they bring their dogs on the shuttle? Send me a link to more information so I can pass it on. Sounds like fun.

My memory is about 200-300 vert of uphill to start, then mostly down until the last 1/4 or 1/2 mile when it is rolling.

Earn it for the after-party.

You'll be wishing SJ was there with his ski pole towing

This statement from the link above should give you indication that splitting wouldn't be the ideal setup
