This is a tough one. If a forum member can create their own survey (poll) what is the difference if someone posts a surveymonkey link?

IMHO, the person posting the survey should be a lot more informative about what they are trying to accomplish, especially when it relates (somewhat) to the ongoing thread on the judge VS kid incident. If g-d-m had written a polite and informative introduction to the survey request, perhaps let us what school they attend, what class this is for and maybe included their teacher's email address for verification and comments, people might have been a little more responsive. Do teachers really encourage this kind of research?

This situation points to all that is wrong with the world these days. Lazy students taking the easy way out to get some information to do a school project. Kid could have made up that survey using a smartphone during the bus ride home. Maybe he/she has a bright future in telemarketing.

As it stands now, the court of public opinion seems to be dealing with things quite well. I read the survey but did not complete it.
