Has ORDA always run WF and Gore??? For some reason I'm thinking they didn't take over Gore until 80ish??? Is that correct or is my memory truly failing.

Hilarious to hear that Bellearye loses money, when every ski area around the world is a profitable business. Now THATS mismanagement.

What's even more hilarious is how mis-informed you are!  Many, many ski "resorts" are in major financial trouble...

In 1968 Gore and Whiteface came under the DEC.  Before that they were administered by the Adirondack Mountain Authority, which was eventually dismantled. In 1981, the year after the LP Olympics, ORDA was formed to manage the venues including Whiteface. As mentioned above, ORDA took over the management of Gore in 1984.
