Oak Mountain Conditions

Administrator
A note from the Oak Mountain Ops Team:

"Things are looking pretty good here at Oak Mountain for the 2014-15 Season.  We had a great stretch of cold weather last week and were able to crank out quite a bit of snow.  The last few days have brought a little rain and warm temperatures, but that doesn’t stop us.

We are looking good later this week to fire things back up.  Our projected opening date is Friday, December 5th- weather permitting.  We are excited that after testing the new portable snow-making system, we found it works better than we hoped and are excited to expand our reach.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and were excited to see you on the slopes!?

I try to get there at least a couple of days every year since 2003 from Saratoga.  This is a gem. It's not a big place, but after a dump, there are some steep runs that are priceless for fresh tracks.  And the blue cruisers are equally fun.  No more than two people in front of you at the lifts.

Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

Nothing against the place, but this is completely false. There is nothing steep there

Was it too much mountain for you?

I was too scared at all the cliff drops --- they were everywhere

I hear oaks not very steep.  You should be able to handle it.

Its probably out of your comfort zone.   Aren't you only used to doing groomers at Greek?

Oh yea I forgot you blew out your knee.  Stick to the groomers, it is what's best.  Just don't be upset with me that you are washed up.

LOL

That's the first time you've ever made me laugh. The fact you don't even have a clue as to what I'm talking about is laughable.

This will be my last response to you in this thread.

I've enjoyed many a ski day at Oak ----- the new owners are friends w/ my buddy that I was up visiting, so I will no longer take part in "shitting-up" this thread....I have too much respect for the place.
