Oak Mountain Conditions

Perfect groomers first couple hours so far this morning Saturday feb 23.   Great for carving.   Non groomed starting to loosen a bit.  Had to wait 30 seconds on line once.   Sun great snow and ski patrol hot dogs soon at the top.  Great vibe.   Come support these guys.   Woods are covered well but still a bit too crusty to me.  

The word on the street is that Oak now has a first class restaurant - if you don't go to ski, go to eat.

We had lunch there on our ADK loop. It was excellent, by far the best I've had at a ski area.

I'll dust off this thread since I skied Oak today, for the first time.  Great little mountain with a great staff, from the lifties, to the instructors, to ski patrol, to the staff in the Acorn.  Only 4 trails open, but well groomed and skied great, even after the sun really came out in the afternoon and the mush started piling up.  Really nice crowd on hand as well, which I love to see at the little guys.  I look forward to going back once some big snows hit there.

Nice blue bird day here, the corduroy is awesome.  Nice to see winter back.
