Okemo & Killington - Chasing Ribbons 12/9-12/10

This post was updated on .

So we had a little technical difficulties this month - so a week behind on our edits.. Today is fitting given the title and message of our latest edit below "Chasing Ribbons". Not sure if these are really trip reports anymore - though we hope you all enjoy watching our videos.

Merry Merry...

Chasing Ribbons

With the rivers still flowing
And snow just starting to fall
Our ski season begins
Hoping to see many of our friends like us
Chasing Ribbons of snow

We expected partially wrapped gifts
Though these presents seem worth unwrapping
These gifts are not ready yet

As the ribbons get covered in Winter’s white
We anticipate a magnificent season ahead

While days creep closer to winter
Killington has become its own Jack Frost

These gifts seem more complete
As the ribbons make full contact with nature’s wrapping.

Even though we may only be skiing ribbons
We know that the full gifts are yet to come
Soon, Chasing Ribbons no more

Nice poetry and keygrip work Ray and Alicia.

Alicia looks pretty confident on her new wheels, how's she feeling?

FYI Ray, I added the code that makes the vid responsive.  I've given up on the new forum software until summer, just don't want take it down. But when it comes you'll be able to post a video with text without needing a bazillion <p> tags.

Merry Christmas to the A Team! And welcome Ciscokid.

Thank you Harvey!

Her skiing is looking good, almost as she was before the knee injury. Crazy what she has been skiing considering she never got the ACL repair.  We are keeping fingers crossed for a safe season - NO injuries..  Tomorrow makes the year anniversary since Alicia tore her ACL, so its also fitting that we released this edit so close to one year anniversary.  This year, we are hoping to ski more places and too keep the videos fun, and upbeat.

No worries on the HTML tags.. I used to program and HTML is relatively easy - though CSS these days is very complicated.

CiscoKid!!! It's been a real long time. Glad you made it to the NYSkiBlog!  We still need to make an edit with you..

Yes, Nevada and Sandro have grown so much.. Sandro grew close to 7 inches in a year and Nevada is pretty tall as well. Not sure where they are getting height from since I am SHORT and so is Alicia.

Nevada is an incredible skier. All the ski coaches want her to be on there race teams. This season we are opting for max pass days and next year, she will go into a race program. Sandro will go into a bump program..  Both are very competent skiers. Today, we were skiing in 2 feet of snow in the Pico woods..  They had NO issues.

Let us know when you want to meet up.

Also, Harvey is an awesome guy.
