One more restaurant closes

in case you were among the few who liked the Wells House in Pottersville...save the gas. Very well informed sources report that the owner gave up this week and turned the keys over to the bank.

Bummer.  Never been there but heard it was good.  Tough business.

first Saturday in April I stopped by "OP Fredericks" in Chestertown - it was closed, sign said opening April 29. I hope business is well. We like the restaurant, also motel has some cozy rooms.

OP's closes for two months every year. They close at the end of March and again late in November. They take a well earned vacation. They'll be back at the end of the week!

Pottersville is a tough location. Whoever drives on I-87 may not even notice the town. I know about Pottersville only because I go to Whiteface from Wevertown few times a year, all I know there is a gas station.

Didn't they just complete a massive restoration in the last couple years ? I'm thinkin they did......

Best restaurant in the Chestertown/Minerva/Pottersville area, IMO.

Very good, but very small so make a reservation and BYOB

Did Common Roots really close?  I could have swore I saw people going in and out of there a few weeks ago.  We had breakfast there the first weekend in April so I know they were open then.  They seem(ed) to do a steady business.  Hope that place isn't gone.  It was my favorite breakfast joint.
