Winter's Promise - by Alicia Alba
Most people think of winter as the
coldest season of the year,
for hibernating
for migrating
(To some place warm)
But we say if you are going to live in the cold
you might as well
start skiing and
join in the fun.
You never know what to expect,
Every year will be different.
Just when you think it will never be
Or there will just be a deep freeze,
It will happen…
While your body will be chilled at first,
Your heart will be warmed
Just go with it
And tough it out.
It's not until you experience the elements,
That you thought were ice needles
will turn to Diamond Dust…
And it is then that you will be waiting for Winter's Promise….
Very nice. I agree with RA on the editing and would add good theming as well.
Alicia and I literally had no clue what our next story would be. We were like in a brain freeze and on Friday night, while on our drive to PICO, we were a bit tense as we were clueless. Then we said, "lets go with the abstrac"t. And I said, "looking forward", and Alicia said "promise" and then I said, "Winter's Promise".
Still not having a clue what to edit, we pieced this together - literally on Saturday day, since it was SO SO SO cold to ski with the kids. We were not sure if it was good or not though we thought the them would be good and inspire others to ski, despite the cold, to tough it out. Alicia did all the writing and I did the editing... The kids, critiqued. We were not sure about time either. We tried to keep it below 5 minutes and magically managed to keep it at 5.
So glad you like it. We could use a thumbs up on the YT..
