Looks great wish we could have made it up but we are out of snow days. Platt has the best steeps in the Catskills
Want to spend special time with your children, teach them to ski or snowboard. The reward will be endless!

"noted local ripper"...and tour guide What? No pictures from the glades and all that untouched pow (or cement). My pick of the day was Plunge but they all skied great once they loosened up. Great meeting and skiing with you guys. Plattekill is a true gem in the Cats! Awesome vibe and ski terrain.

Definitely one of the best days of the year, sorry I missed you. This week skied Whiteface, Bolton Valley, Smugglers Notch and Killington, finished up the week at Plattekill, Although they were all good, none could beat Plattekill. Everything was just right, At one point I just stood at the top of the trail taking it all in, the 60 deg temps, sunny skies, uncrowded trails, creamy corn snow underfoot and then it hit me, this was all free! Thanks Plattekill!
Harvey's fifth picture says it all, take a look at the cars in the lot, Damn, I've been there when the lot was full and the slopes were uncrowded! |

Funky! Just saw your vid on AZ and we must have been right next to you when you shot it. Our skis are in that shot. Doh!
Quote from Laszlo: "Dude where the hell have you been?" We skied with Lasz from 3 to 5:30. The guy just loves to ski, and he flies. He took us into the trees and we all struggled while he ripped parrallel turns down a mtb trail that was as wide as a jeep road. Suds skied it, but I just snowplowed. After the sun set on the double we skied the remaining sun on The Face. Since everything was free, I pressured everyone to stay and buy some beers. We bought one and the rest were on the house.

Wow, looks like a perfect day of skiing!
I was too sore after a day like that at Gore on Thursday. I'm resting up for another day on Sunday at Gore. Hope to see you there Harv. Pammy and I will be rolling in around 11ish. May not soften up as well as it did on the 50+ degree days, but Topridge, Lies and Rumor should soften in the sun by mid day. |

Twas fine to meet you too lassie! Avgraphics, and all in attendance. A day I will remember for a long time. I think we should have a ski race where the NY ski hill owners race for pink slips. I know who I'd bet on: Super Laz

that first shot sums it up for me, I've been there so many times with bare grass in the valley and then you make the turn and see Plattekill in its snowy glory and you know that you're in for a good day.
Great to ski with all of you! |

Harv, Facebook day was a blast and I really enjoyed those pics. Definitely a top 10 day in my book, with that cloudless deep Plattekill blue in the sky, at least that's what we call it. I'm usually the one taking pictures, not that day thanks to you. I just want to make it clear, that we really appreciate the efforts and time you put into the back office behind this forum, and all the others like you. I'm not much for posting on forums, but I love reading them.
Conditions are really good right now, end of March, as good as they were last year at this time. We seem to be sitting in a magical pocket here in the middle of nowhere and its been snowing on and off all week, with teens at night and mid 20's during the days. This weekend will be mid-winter like with 30 of 35 trails on a deep base, with just enough sun poking out in the lower 30's to soften the top to a primo surface. Our groomers will be out in a few hours (4am) to spiff up the trails with just enough to keep Mr Corduroy happy as well as those who beg us to "stop the brutal grooming." If you have time come on out and take a few runs with me. Laszlo |
