I'm going with 10 inches here in North River.

The stuff is gold. Dense - but no loose moisture. By an eastern definition, I would call it powder.

Who really cares what the exact amount was...skiing has improved 150% at Gore.  Today was simply OMG!  I thought if it got wet or rain I was going to head up to WF but the snow was great and it stayed pretty cold.  Can't wait for tomorrow!  Get there early though as the Kandahar race is this weekend at Gore.

Covid stole what would have been my longest season ever!
I'll be back

I like keeping track of Gore's season total. I guess it's like Duck's vert. Just something I like to count. (Hey Duck... did you get your 1M today?)

Today's storm, by my count, puts Gore right at 100 inches.

Close to a foot here in Saratoga.   Had a great ski at the local nature preserve this afternoon with some friends visiting from NJ.

I skied the Wilton Nature Preserve on Scout Rd Thursday, but this is not there.

This is the Woods Hollow Nature Preserve off Northline Rd and Rowland St in Milton just south of Saratoga Springs.  The lake is the old Ballston Reservoir.   This has been a great winter for skiing there (albeit ungroomed), plus it's my favorite local woods for giving my dog a run in any season.  Nearby Spa State Park has XC trails with grooming, but some people there don't like seeing unleashed dogs.

Skied the Gore XC trails today...there are some pretty spots there.  They had half the snow we had in Saratoga, but a little drier.  After last week's warm-up there's a great base in the woods.
