Left Sandy early on Friday, and made our way up to Powder Mountain. 6 inches over night were on the report. We arrived 20 minutes before opening. 8,000 acres of primo-hippie pow awaited us. We skied slightly dense untracked snow from wired to wire. We were like kids in a candy store. It was not too deep, and it was a bit heavy by Wasatch standards, but it made for the perfect depth to density ratio. The place is immense. A lot of stuff to explore. Nothing too steep. We took advantage of the side country shuttle for multiple untracked laps in the early afternoon. Late in the day we found steeper shaded lines off the Paradise chair that yielded just as much fun as the first run. A great last day in the Wasatch.
