All I said is add some bathrooms and improve the enterence and exits. It's a safety issue. That is far from the equal to putting in heated and bubble 6 pack chairs.
If spac has a crappy deal with live nation the folks that control it and the town need to fix that so they can upgrade thier venue. That town is rolling in the tax dough so if they need to throw some in they should. Also 1 cop to direct traffic for an event with 15k attendance might not cut it.

You are a spoiled prick - next thing you'll be asking for is heated toilet seats and a waffle hut.

But, it's a state park. I'm guessing the town has little power over many decisions. And, well, we all know how honest and concerned our state politicians are for all of our concerns and safety, right? I did mention Joe Bruno, didn't I? It was nice living on that man's home district while he was in power, though. The roads were very nicely paved.

Actually it's a good deal. For a variety of reasons it does not make sense (and it would be much riskier) for SPAC to produce / promote concerts independently. Arrangements like this are standard for venues like SPAC. Sorry Coach, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to bust on ya a little. I shoulda put a winky gizmo thing in my post. Your suggestions are legit. |
Only real issue with SPAC's deal with live nation is they place was never designed for those type of shows and it rides the building very hard. There is a push to try to get SPAC more like Tanglewood but they simply don't have the support for it. Without the Live Nation money the arts side wouldn't survive. With that too, live nation is one of the few concert promotion companies in the country making real money. The smaller regional guys scrape by on smaller shows that live nation can't make a percentage on. Live Nation puts the acts balls in a vice and guarantees them a string of dates. Large scaling touring is expensive as hell and without this the acts would not be able to survive. |
O
Unless you're the Grateful Dead and do things on your own. Fare thee shows sold lots of ticks right through GDTS....as they had been doing for years. |
